Touch My Heart

The city sleeps, but
I am wide awake
I feel the rhythm that my heartbeat makes
The neon lights are shining in the rain
I'm walking down this empty street again
You left a memory
I can't erase
I see the shadows falling on your face
A lonely synthesizer starts to play
I'm dreaming of the words you used to say
Oh, touch my heart and save me from the night
We'll keep the passion in the morning light
Don't let the fire fade into the dark
You are the secret beating in my heart
I hear you whisper in the midnight breeze
A sweet illusion that begins to tease
The disco lights are flashing blue and red
I think about the tender tears we share
We had a promise that we couldn't keep
While all the world around us fell asleep
Now every melody belongs to you
I'm searching for a love so pure and true
Oh, touch my heart and save me from the night
We'll keep the passion in the morning light
Don't let the fire fade into the dark
You are the secret beating in my heart
The velvet sky is hiding all my tears
I want to hold you and forget my fears
