The boulevard was aglow in the fire, and a playful breeze started to frolic, it swirled, whistled, spun around, and
Snatched the shawl from your shoulders.
The shawl flew towards me, like a firebird landing right in my hands.
You came running, flushed and frantic, and held out your palm to me.
Who told you that autumn is sad?
It was the autumn wind that betrothed us.
For it is heady like a wedding, and generous and rich with gold.
Let it swirl, whistle, and storm,
I will bow down low to it.
It brought you to me and showered us
With leaves all around.
I held the shawl and laughed.
I will give it back.
I asked for your name.
You said, I fell in love, and the shawl remained mine.
Since then we wandered the boulevard.
I brushed leaves from your hair, and the winds pushed us together.
And you laughed.
I stood there in awe.
Snatched the shawl from your shoulders.
The shawl flew towards me, like a firebird landing right in my hands.
You came running, flushed and frantic, and held out your palm to me.
