City Of Dreams

I left my yesterday behind the door.
Didn't know what I was looking for.
The streets were glowing underneath the rain.
I felt alive, I felt awake again.
No destination, nowhere to be.
Just distant lights in front of me.
The night was moving like a silver stream.
And you were waiting somewhere in the dream.
City of dreams, take me away.
Far from the night into a brighter day.
City of dreams, carry me high.
Where every broken heart can learn to fly.
City of dreams, don't let me go.
Take me somewhere only we can know.
City of dreams, under these lights.
I wanna stay here for the rest of the night.
We followed shadows across the avenue.
Every new street felt like something new.
Your hand in mine, the world disappeared.
All of the things I used to fear.
The skyline faded into shades of blue.
I lost the road but I found you.
Maybe we were never meant to stay.
Maybe some hearts are born to drift away.
City of dreams, take me away.
Far from the night into a brighter day.
City of dreams, carry me high.
